The Project Manager role is responsible for leading the delivery of projects within a complex operational environment, ensuring outcomes are achieved on time, within scope, and to the required quality standards. The Project Manager will coordinate teams, manage stakeholders, and oversee planning, execution, and implementation activities across assigned initiatives. The role also plays a key part in supporting change management, driving adoption of new systems and processes, and ensuring successful transition into business-as-usual operations. This role will be a 12-month contract based on-site in Darwin, Northern Territory.
Requirements
What You'll Do
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects from initiation through to completion.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, governance frameworks, and status reporting.
- Coordinate project teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives and deliverables are achieved.
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, assumptions, and constraints while maintaining strong governance practices.
- Drive business readiness, change management, communication, and training activities to support successful implementation and adoption.
- Monitor project progress and performance against agreed milestones, budgets, and deliverables.
- Facilitate workshops, meetings, and stakeholder engagement activities across business and technical teams.
- Ensure project outcomes align with strategic objectives and deliver measurable business benefits.
- Provide regular reporting, insights, and recommendations to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and promote best-practice project delivery standards.
What You'll Bring
- Minimum 5 years' experience managing complex projects and delivering successful business outcomes.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate resources in dynamic and evolving environments.
- Strong project planning, governance, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management expertise.
- Experience delivering organisational change, business transformation, or technology-enabled initiatives.
- Demonstrated success driving business readiness, stakeholder engagement, training, and user adoption activities.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking capabilities, with a focus on practical and sustainable outcomes.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing operational and business requirements.
- Experience using project management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft 365, Teams, Jira, or similar platforms.
- A proactive, accountable, and collaborative approach, with a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes and building strong working relationships.
- Experience working within large, complex, or enterprise-scale project environments is highly regarded.
- Relevant project management certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, or equivalent are desirable.
