About the Role

We are looking for a Data Product Owner to lead the delivery of strategic data products that support Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance and Distribution business teams. In this role, you will serve as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring data solutions are aligned with business priorities and delivered with quality, scalability, and measurable value.

You will own the product backlog, define priorities, facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and drive the development of a new enterprise data warehouse that will provide trusted, consistent, and scalable data across multiple business functions. While this is not a hands-on engineering role, the ideal candidate will have a strong technical understanding of modern data platforms and be comfortable collaborating with data engineers, architects, and business leaders.

This is a fully remote position that requires a collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

What You'll Do

  • Own and manage the product backlog for strategic data initiatives, ensuring work is aligned with business priorities and enterprise data objectives
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements, define product vision, and translate business needs into actionable user stories
  • Prioritize features, enhancements, and technical work to maximize business value and support delivery roadmaps
  • Facilitate communication between business teams, data engineers, architects, and technical delivery teams
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by defining validation criteria and ensuring delivered solutions meet business requirements and quality standards
  • Support the development and evolution of a centralized enterprise data warehouse and foundational data products
  • Collaborate with Information Delivery and Data Engineering teams to define technical requirements and ensure scalable data solutions
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across multiple data sources
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements using modern data technologies
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, prioritize competing requests, and drive alignment across cross-functional teams
  • Track product progress, communicate risks, and provide regular updates to business and technical stakeholders
  • Promote Agile and SAFe best practices while supporting sprint planning, backlog refinement, and product delivery activities
  • Build strong partnerships across business and technology teams to ensure successful product adoption and long-term value delivery

Requirements

  • Years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role supporting data products or analytics initiatives
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, data integration, and enterprise data management concepts
  • Experience working with SQL and Snowflake to understand and validate data solutions
  • Strong Excel skills with experience analyzing and validating complex datasets
  • Basic knowledge of Python, with an understanding of how it can support automation and data processes
  • Experience working within Agile or SAFe delivery environments
  • Strong understanding of User Acceptance Testing (UAT), backlog management, and requirements prioritization
  • Experience working with cross-functional technical and business teams
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical thinking, organization, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment
