Axicom delivers communication campaigns for some of the world’s most innovative technology companies. As a Senior Account Executive at Axicom, you will work with leading consumer  technology businesses who are shaping how we live and work.  This role is perfect for an ambitious individual a few years into their PR career, who is looking to become a consumer technology specialist. You’ll be working with a team launching the latest smartphones and fitness tech products and delivering creative press office and campaign stories across gaming and smart home brands.  

We’re looking for someone who has a passion for the tech space, so if you are a gamer, a gadget nerd or just someone who loves working in the consumer tech landscape this is the role for you. Someone who loves the thrill of securing coverage in today’s media landscape, is always reading the newest substack or hunting out the latest YouTuber for their clients,  enjoys heading to trade shows across the world and who has the attention to detail and creative mindset to deliver stand out events, experiences and campaigns and wants to be part of a team that always goes the extra mile.

Our London Office Axicom has a significant presence in London, as one of our global office locations, enabling us to deliver ground-breaking campaigns for our clients. 

What you'll do 

  • Media relations: Own media relationships with consumer technology, lifestyle and national press, be a go to in the team for the press we need to be speaking to, building on relationships you already have and establishing new ones. You’ll have a good bank of contacts and want to grow this further.  
  • Writing: You’ll be writing press releases, media pitches and developing smart content for your clients. We want someone who knows how to tell a story that media will love and clients will sign off   
  • Client communications: You’ll confidently build relationships with clients, speaking to them regularly as the main point of contact on specific projects, joining weekly calls and proactively updating them on activity taking place. We firmly believe the best work happens when we act as one team with our clients and want engaging, confident people who want build professional relationships with their clients.   
  • Proactivity: Spot media opportunities, cultural trends and points of interest for your clients, identify ways to creatively solve problems and contribute proactively to your accounts 
  • Account organisation: You will help your team keep accounts organised, update clients in timely ways and be aware and proactive in keeping your account leads updated 
  • Media interest: Outside of specific pitches and sell ins you will be expected to foster an interest in the UK media landscape from following relevant journalists to your clients, reading media relevant to clients and actively sharing with your teams  
  • Team player: Play an active and helpful part in client teams and broader Axicom initiatives, demonstrating effective time management and acting as an agency ambassador. 

Experience that contributes to success 

  • Established early career PR experience, two years or more experience across the consumer lifestyle or consumer technology sectors 
  • A strong interest in the UK consumer technology landscape and UK media  
  • Proven ability to execute and manage media sell ins, work on multiple clients and strong interpersonal skills  
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks at any one time and excellent time management skills 
  • Solid writing skills with experience in writing press materials   
  • Energetic and passionate about PR & communications  
  • High levels of Intelligence, Initiative, and Integrity, with an ambition to create award-winning work.
