Companies Novo Holdings HRIS & Data Manager

About the role

Novo Holdings · Onsite

We are looking for an HRIS & Data Manager to join the People & Organisation (P&O) team at Novo Holdings, based at our headquarters in Copenhagen. This is a defining role, where you will be the anchor for our HR technology platform, joining at the start of a full HRIS implementation and taking end-to-end ownership of both the system, the data layer and the data analytics from day one.

Novo Holdings is the holding and investment company of the Novo Nordisk Foundation. We manage the Foundation's assets and invest in life-science companies across all stages of development; from early-stage venture through to listed equities. We all work towards a long-term mission of generating attractive returns that enable the Foundation's philanthropy in life sciences and sustainability. As of year-end 2025, Novo Holdings had total assets of EUR 93 billion.

P&O supports Novo Holdings and works in close partnership with the Novo Nordisk Foundation on shared infrastructure, including the HR technology stack. We are now moving from vendor selection into implementation of a new HRIS platform. The HRIS & Data Manager will play a central role in shaping how the platform is configured, operated and used — and will sit within our Rewards and Operations team alongside colleagues covering compensation, benefits, mobility, payroll and employment law.

The Job

The role as HRIS & Data Manager is a hands-on position with strategic reach. You will own the implementation and with time, the day-to-day operation, configuration and evolution of the HRIS for Novo Holdings. You will own the data, reporting and analytics layer that turns the platform into a trusted source of insight for P&O, Finance, IT and the broader business.

Reporting to the Head of Total Rewards, you will work closely with a counterpart at the Novo Nordisk Foundation to keep a shared data model and integration architecture.

We believe in lean, high-trust teams with direct access to leadership and real ownership of outcomes. The current P&O team brings together professionals with backgrounds across HR, consulting and finance, working in a purpose-driven and collaborative environment.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Owning the Novo Holdings HRIS implementation end-to-end: configuration, release management, issue resolution and user lifecycle across Core HR, recruitment, compensation, performance, talent, learning, time and absence
  • Translating P&O business requirements into well-designed, sustainable system configuration
  • Owning the people data model: definitions, hierarchies, position structures, cost centres, job catalogue, employment types and mapping to Finance and IT master data
  • Establishing and enforcing data-quality standards; running regular data-quality cycles and publishing data-health KPIs to P&O leadership
  • Leading data migration and cutover activities during implementation; owning cleansing, validation, reconciliation and sign-off
  • Building and maintaining the P&O reporting suite: operational dashboards, KPI reports, compliance reporting (including EU Pay Transparency and DEI), workforce analytics and ad-hoc analyses for leadership
  • Partnering with the Head of Total Rewards on compensation analytics — benchmarking, merit and bonus cycle modelling, pay equity analysis and external survey submissions
  • Owning integration health between the HRIS and downstream systems (payroll, Finance/ERP, IT identity, benefits, ATS and other platforms)
  • Co-driving vendor management with IT and Procurement: SLA monitoring, release management, support escalations and contract reviews
  • Ensuring platform and data flow compliance with GDPR, local employment legislation and Novo Holdings information-security standards
  • Running a super-user network and enabling self-service: training HRBPs, managers and employees on new functionality and process changes

Professional & Personal Qualifications

We look for a candidate with the following qualifications:

  • 8+ years implementing and operating a modern cloud HRIS at manager or senior specialist level, with full lifecycle exposure: selection, implementation, hypercare and steady-state operations
  • Demonstrated ownership of the HR data layer — data model design, master-data governance, data quality programmes and people analytics — not just system administration
  • Strong configuration skills on at least one major cloud HRIS (HiBob preferred), including workflows, permissions, custom fields and reporting
  • Hands-on reporting and analytics capability: native HRIS reporting toolset, comfortable with SQL or a BI tool (Power BI, Tableau or similar), strong Excel
  • Experience in a multi-country, multi-entity environment with payroll integrations and GDPR-regulated data
  • Track record of working with implementation partners and software vendors on roadmap, releases and incident resolution
  • Direct experience administering and configuring HiBob in production is an advantage — including custom fields, workflows, permission groups, Compensation, Performance, Time Off and Payroll Hub
  • Working knowledge of Total Rewards processes — compensation cycles, benchmarking, pay equity analysis and EU Pay Transparency requirements
  • Analytically sharp, evidence-driven and pragmatic — knows when to configure, when to integrate and when to push back on the request
  • Strong written and verbal communication; able to translate between business stakeholders and technical specialists
  • Self-directed; thrives in a lean team where the role spans strategy, build and run
  • Fluent English required. The right to work in Denmark preferred.
