Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality carpentry work across various projects, ensuring precision, safety, and efficiency. As a Journeyman Carpenter, you will interpret technical drawings, utilize a wide range of hand and power tools, and collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional craftsmanship. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse construction and restoration projects while honing your skills in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project requirements.
  • Measure, cut, assemble, and install framing, siding, cabinetry, doors, fixtures, and other structural components using hand tools and power tools.
  • Perform trim carpentry tasks including molding, baseboards, window casings, and finish carpentry details with precision.
  • Assist with concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, roofing, and metal stud framing as needed for various projects.
  • Conduct restoration tasks such as water damage remediation, plastering, stucco application, siding replacement, and mold remediation.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards including power tool safety protocols and proper handling of equipment.
  • Collaborate with project managers and team members to interpret construction plans accurately and meet project deadlines efficiently.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in construction or carpentry with a strong understanding of framing, trim carpentry, roofing, masonry, and restoration techniques.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans confidently.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools such as saws, hammers, chisels; power tools including drills, saws; CNC machinery experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of construction estimating processes and the ability to perform heavy lifting safely.
  • Familiarity with water damage restoration procedures, caulking techniques (including stucco), fixture installation, flooring installation (tile or wood), and drywall finishing.
  • Strong understanding of safety practices related to power tools and construction site protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail; ability to interpret schematics accurately for precise fabrication or installation tasks.
  • Valid experience in the restoration industry or related fields such as manufacturing or remodeling is highly desirable.
