The purpose of this role is to maintain and further the work of the Research & Consulting team through the analysis of funds and to assist with the delivery of this output to internal/external clients as required.
The incumbent will be required to participate and in some cases lead fund review meetings and, where necessary, assume sector lead responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Maintaining the universe of rated funds, undertaking periodic reviews of rated funds including meeting the managers of such strategies
Identifying and researching potential new ideas for inclusion by presenting suitable ideas to the team
Provide input into the rating process by opining on new ideas being presented by colleagues
Production of high-quality reporting output and when required, presenting this to clients, both internal and external
Support the CIP through fund recommendations to the investment team
A keenness to adopt new technology and provide input into its enhancement, including suggesting adaptations to existing processes
Supporting the investment/sales/marketing teams’ efforts by providing relevant information and documentation.
Representing the business at industry events and should therefore behave in an appropriate manner.

Critical Skills and Experience required
Ideally 3-5 years fund analysis experience
Excellent analytical skills and experience with Excel, LIM, Morningstar, FE Analytics required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
Experience engaging with Asset Management Firms required
Exposure to AI tools such as Copilot and Claude would be advantageous
Qualifications (Essential & Desirable)
Degree level qualification required. A focus on finance, economics or where a deep level of research has applied, would be advantageous
Completed Investment Management Certificate is required
An appetite to study for further relevant qualifications

Investment teams, marketing and sales teams
Working with internal and external clients
FCA requirements TCF/RCR
Adhere to all FCA regulations including consumer duty.
To highlight to your line manager procedures & processes that do not adhere to the principles of TCF/RCR and to put forward suggestions that improve the TCF/RCR practices within the department.

The role is hybrid and attendance to the office is required 3 days per week
