CNC Machine Operator – Plasma/Laser + Gantry Crane | 4-Day Week (Afternoons)

Join Vulcan as a CNC Machine Operator running plasma/laser cutting machines and overhead gantry cranes on a 4-day week: Mon–Thu, 2:00pm–12:30am. Enjoy stable hours, overtime opportunities and a supportive team.

What you’ll be doing

• Operating CNC plasma/laser cutting machines
• Loading and unloading steel using an overhead gantry crane
• Reading and working from drawings
• Maintaining quality, safety and housekeeping standards
• Supporting wider workshop operations as needed

What you’ll bring

• Experience operating CNC plasma or laser cutting machines
• Experience with overhead gantry crane operation
• Background working with steel or other heavy materials
• Ability to read and interpret engineering/workshop drawings
• Currently residing in New Zealand or holding a valid work visa
• Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical and drug screen
