NDC Electronic Document Processors review claim related electronic documents and are responsible for quickly and accurately dispositioning each document. Evaluates document quality and requests rescans as necessary. Follows established processes and/or utilizes best judgment to determine appropriate document type, related claim(s), specialized document handling instructions, such as document splitting or envelope inclusion. May work a schedule outside of traditional business hours.

Requirements

Reviews document image to ensure appropriate image quality/all pages scanned correctly and requests rescan of document when necessary. Reorients and reorders document pages as needed. Ensures that copies of envelopes are included with documents when needed for regulatory compliance. Uses established guidelines and/or judgment to determine appropriate document type and necessary indexing fields. Splits original document into multiple child documents as needed to facilitate downstream claim processes. Determines correct Company, Line of Business, Claim System and claim(s) to file the document against. Identifies document exceptions and routes to 1 of the 15 exception handling queue based on established business rules. Maintains knowledgebase through reviewing published reference materials, attending refresher training, reviewing training tips and applying coaching feedback from designated mentor, Performance Coach and/or Supervisor/Manager. Performs other duties as assigned
