Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Part-Time Residential Remodeling Drafter with extensive experience using Chief Architect software. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the residential remodeling industry and a comprehensive understanding of Seattle's residential building codes and regulations. This role requires in-office presence for 16 hours a week, split over 2 to 3 days.

Requirements

• Utilize Chief Architect software to create detailed and accurate plans.
• Collaborate effectively with interior designers, structural engineers, and other team members.
• Ensure all designs comply with Seattle's residential building codes and regulations.
• Produce technical drawings, elevations, site plans, and plan sets required for permit applications.
• Maintain excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all drafting and design work.
• Communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with team members and clients.
• Stay updated with the latest construction methods and materials.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience with Chief Architect software.
• 3+ years of drafting for residential remodeling or architecture.
• In-depth knowledge of Seattle's residential building codes and regulations.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with construction methods and materials.
• Ability to interpret and create technical drawings, elevations, site plans, and plan sets required for permit applications.
