About the role
Role Purpose
To lead, manage, and develop the Landscape Department as a high-performance design production unit supporting Consultants’ projects. The role ensures delivery of high-quality, timely, and cost-efficient design outputs aligned with company standards and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership
• Define and implement departmental strategy aligned with company objectives.
• Establish KPIs and performance targets.
• Drive continuous improvement in design efficiency and output quality.
2. Project Delivery
• Ensure timely delivery of all landscape design packages.
• Monitor progress against schedules and take corrective action when required.
• Coordinate closely with PMs and other departments.
3. Technical Leadership
• Act as technical authority for all landscape design outputs.
• Review and approve concepts, drawings, BOQs, and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with international standards and regulations.
4. Resource Management
• Plan and allocate resources efficiently.
• Maintain optimal utilization rates.
• Provide input for recruitment and workforce planning.
5. Talent Management
• Lead recruitment and performance management.
• Develop staff through coaching and mentorship.
• Build succession plans and address underperformance.
6. Commercial Awareness
• Contribute to project pricing and cost estimation.
• Ensure efficient use of design hours.
• Support profitability and revenue targets.
7. Coordination & Stakeholder Management
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Interface with clients and authorities.
• Represent the department in technical discussions.
8. Quality & Process Compliance
• Ensure adherence to company quality standards.
• Implement design review and documentation processes.
• Promote a culture of quality in design delivery.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture or Landscape Engineering (Master’s preferred).
Experience
15–20+ years of experience in landscape design within A&E consultancy, including large-scale projects. GCC experience is preferred.
