Due to continuous growth and expansion, Pharmathen Pharmaceuticals offers a great opportunity for career development and is seeking to recruit an Engineering Senior Manager for the Industrial Operations division in our Pallini premises.

As an Engineering Senior Manager, the ideal candidate will lead and drive the engineering function supporting the operational requirements.

More particularly:

What you will do:

  • Responsible for the smooth operation of production machinery
  • Responsible for the performance management and professional development of all engineering personnel
  • Allocates resources, prioritizes tasks, and acts as an advisor to senior management in delivering value-added engineering services
  • Acts as a liaison with Process Development, Manufacturing, Facilities, and Quality Assurance in developing requirements, systems, and programs
  • Accountable for the development of technical subject matter expertise and the provision of adequate engineering resources (internal and external) to ensure system reliability, robustness, and maximum availability
  • Accountable for the technical quality of manufacturing and operational systems across all areas
  • Accountable for the safe operation of equipment
  • Submits proposals to the Production Manager regarding equipment improvements or replacements
  • Responsible for the smooth operation of all utilities, electrical, and automation systems
  • Leads capacity planning, efficiency optimization, and asset lifecycle analyses aligned with production, quality, and investment plans
  • Monitors operational performance through KPIs, analyzes deviations, and reports insights to senior management
  • Oversees technical investments, equipment procurement, and outsourced services, including decision-making and approval processes
  • Leads transformation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational excellence

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

  • BSc in Engineering
  • At least 8 years of experience in an engineering function within a pharmaceutical company
  • Proven people management experience
