Role Overview

This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the commercial operations of a leading food manufacturer. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals, supporting key accounts, contributing to sales planning, and engaging in customer-facing projects that make a real impact on business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with managing customer accounts, including preparing presentations, reports, and sales materials.
  • Support the development and delivery of promotional plans and pricing strategies.
  • Analyse sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance.
  • Help organise customer meetings and trade events.
  • Conduct competitor and market analysis to inform strategic decisions.
  • Maintain and update commercial databases and systems.

Requirements

  • Degree Qualification: A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related commercial discipline, with a minimum classification of 2:2 (or equivalent).
  • Commercial Interest: Genuine enthusiasm for sales, commercial strategy, and the food industry.
  • Analytical & Communication Skills: Ability to interpret data, draw insights, and communicate effectively across teams.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with strong attention to detail.
  • Commercial Awareness: Understanding of market dynamics and customer needs within the food sector.
  • Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn, with a problem-solving mindset.
