The Chargebacks Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and processing of all EDI 844 Chargebacks. This position is responsible for ensuring that all chargebacks are processed within 48 hours of receipt and credit information is communicated back to the wholesalers via EDI 849 to maintain contract compliance.
Job Functions
- Process all incoming EDI 844 Chargebacks received nightly from wholesalers
- Clear any outstanding chargeback errors by researching the contract terms and membership validity
- Process Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) admin fees monthly/quarterly
- Assist the Senior Chargeback Analyst and Manager, Contract Operations & Rebates with any chargeback and/or admin fee requests
- Assist with any ad hoc requests related to chargeback data
- Provide support during the annual financial audit
- Work with the order to cash (OTC) team on any open chargeback variances
- Support the Senior Chargeback Analyst to proactively research chargeback trends to locate any anomalies ahead of month end close
- Work with external customers and internal stakeholders to resolve disputes in a timely manner
- Provide input into changes that may be needed to support the development and maintenance of policies and procedures
- Work with many levels within the organization on projects and priorities
Required Experience
- 2+ years of pharmaceutical experience
- 2+ years of chargeback experience
- 2+ years of experience with GPOs/Rebates
Preferred experience
- Experience with life sciences systems such as iContracts, ModelN, etc.
