Our Regional Smart Fare System (RSFS) makes transit seamless β tap and go with cards, devices, and smart tech across multiple transit networks. Behind the scenes, a complex ecosystem of validators, ticket machines, POS systems, and handheld devices keeps everything running smoothly.

As a Service Maintenance Technician, youβll play a critical role in keeping this system live, reliable, and performing at its best β both in the field and behind the scenes.
π§ What Youβll Be Doing
- Keep critical transit devices up and running across the network
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on smart fare systems
- Diagnose and resolve real-time issues and incidents
- Monitor system performance and run device diagnostics
- Support software updates and system releases
- Track and manage device inventory and components
- Collaborate with transit agencies, internal teams, and vendors
- Deliver against high SLA expectations in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
π§ What You Bring
- Background in Electrical / Electronic Engineering (or similar)
- Experience working with networked systems and applications
- Strong understanding of system architecture & operating systems
- Hands-on experience with maintenance in large-scale systems
- A natural problem-solver with strong attention to detail
- Ability to juggle priorities and stay calm under pressure
- Great communication skills and a customer-first mindset
- A valid driverβs licence and access to a vehicle
Bonus points for:
- Experience with ticketing systems, Jira, or inventory tools
- Knowledge of transit, mobility, or smart city tech
