About the role
NETGEAR is looking for an experienced Senior Territory Account Manager to join our Commercial/Enterprise Channel business.
We are expanding sales of our industry-leading IP networking, switching, and wireless products, and are looking for an energized, experienced sales professional to drive business growth with key partners in the Commercial/Enterprise segment through an efficient, locally-led development strategy.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated sales professional to advance their career as a key member of a dynamic, fast-paced team.
In this role, you will own a defined portion of the business across our key partners, proactively driving quarterly growth. You will identify, develop, and manage a portfolio of accounts to grow our IT channel/Commercial business across Australia, in line with NETGEAR's corporate goals — while helping guide teammates on their own portfolios to define clear goals and strategies that lift overall regional performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner & Channel Development
Recruit, develop, and maintain relationships with new and existing partners, with a focus on face-to-face engagement, ethical sales practices, and propositions that drive quality of service, growth, and customer satisfaction.
Expand distribution channels by onboarding value-added distributors in key verticals to build the project pipeline.
Identify specialist partners who can accelerate adoption of key NETGEAR products, particularly wireless access points and switches supported by our cloud solution.
Account Management & Revenue Growth
Manage existing partner accounts and identify key IT channel partners to grow share of business across all product categories.
Meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue and margin targets.
Fully understand the competitive landscape within assigned accounts and build plans to establish category leadership.
Create proposals and business plans, negotiate agreements, and manage product, pricing, and margins in line with agreed terms.
Plan and prioritize meetings, sales calls, and customer contact to maximize sales and meet agreed objectives.
Respond to and follow up on sales enquiries by phone, email, and in person.
Reporting & Market Insight
Provide weekly reporting and forecasting for your portfolio, including competitive intelligence, market trends, and channel or technology issues affecting performance.
Maintain accurate records in customer/prospect systems and use these tools to monitor and report on activity.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Coordinate with internal NETGEAR teams (Sales Engineering, Marketing, Product Management, Sales, Technical Support, Operations) to optimize results.
Liaise with other departments, internally and externally, to support customer accounts and resolve issues.
Continuously develop your own knowledge and skills.
Key Requirements:
8+ years relevant experience in IT sales and sales team management, ideally in a channel sales or partner engagement role for a networking vendor.
Proven track record in sales and business development, with strong closing skills and the ability to win against better-resourced competitors.
A credible sales professional who commands respect from customers, colleagues, and partners.
Demonstrated success managing a sales channel or partner engagement pipeline, including administration and reporting.
Self-motivated, tenacious, and proactive, with the resilience to work through a challenging market and early setbacks.
Strong presentation, analytical, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
Willingness to travel approximately 70% of the time — including joint calls with partners to integrators and end customers, trade shows to build awareness and generate leads, and time at partner offices to drive integration of NETGEAR products into their solutions.
Preferred Requirements:
Dynamic and entrepreneurial, able to build relationships at multiple levels within channel/partner organizations, up to CEO/Executive level.
Solid understanding of channel partner economics and how partnership needs evolve over time, and how vendors and partners collaborate to drive customer satisfaction and competitiveness.
Experience with Salesforce CRM is highly desirable.
Additional language skills are a plus in multicultural markets.
Above all, you'll be seen by NETGEAR's partners and their teams as their most trusted network equipment partner.
