The Team

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with great enthusiasm for the event ticketing industry to join our team in Marousi, Athens. The Engineering team’s purpose is to keep More.com’ backbone systems and applications healthy and secure, implement and deploy new features providing competitive advantages to the platform and offer a unique experience to our users.

Engineers design and implement new features in a fast-paced environment. They also find solutions to streamline highly scalable and critical applications, affecting millions of users.

The Role

Software engineers at More.com are responsible for a multitude of projects and are expected to be able to work independently, assist their teammates and mentor junior developers. You will also be expected to collaborate across multiple workstreams and roles like architects, program management leads and engineering leads across the technology team.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform tasks in an efficient & timely manner.
  • Design, build, test, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
  • Be a team player. Offer your help, listen and seek to understand. Step up & take initiatives.
  • Research innovative technologies to find new and efficient ways to solve day-to-day challenges. Continually advance technical knowledge and skills.
  • Ensure high-quality software by following software design principles.

Tech stack

Our libraries and applications are written in C# & .NET Framework / .NET Core. MS SQL Server, Azure Storage, Service Fabric, Service Bus and several other platforms and services are also part of the architecture. We use GitHub for code versioning, and the Atlassian stack for tickets and documentation.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other relevant field.
  • At least 4 years of experience developing production-level software using C# .NET (full framework or .NET Core) and SQL.
  • Good understanding of basic web technologies such as HTTP, REST, etc.
  • Practical understanding of algorithms, design patterns and Object-Oriented Programming.
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality code.
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written.
