We're building an AI notepad that helps teams get to the point faster. We've grown from a handful of people to 60 in under a year, we've just opened our first US office in San Francisco, and we're not slowing down.
We're looking for an Operations Generalist to join our ops team. You'll work across people operations, compliance, finance ops, and the cross-functional projects that keep a scaling company running. This isn't a pure people ops role. It's for someone who genuinely loves people ops work and wants to grow into it, but is equally energised by variety and happy to roll up their sleeves across whatever the company needs right now.
People ops is where this role is heading. But on day one, you'll be doing a bit of everything, and we need someone who's genuinely excited about that.
We believe in working in person. We don't do process for process's sake. If something adds friction without adding value, we cut it. The person we're looking for understands that instinctively.
In this role, you will work:
Work across people operations day to day, contracts, onboarding, benefits, compliance, employee check-ins β and grow into building people programs over time: feedback loops, manager support, performance processes
Pick up and drive operational projects as they arise: compliance certifications (ISO, HIPAA, SOC 2), data mapping, procurement, travel and expense policies
Automate and improve the operational backbone, better integrations, fewer manual steps, fewer things falling through the cracks
Coordinate across teams on cross-functional problems and step in wherever the ops team needs support as Granola grows
Your background looks something like this:

As a person:
4β7 years in operations or a hybrid role, with meaningful people ops experience you genuinely enjoyed and want to build on
Youβre drawn to people ops for the long term, but youβre not looking for a role thatβs 100% people ops from day one, youβre comfortable with broader scope while the company figures out what it needs
Youβve built operational processes before , onboarding, policies, tooling, compliance, and you know how to make things run without constant manual effort, using automation and real tools, not just concepts
You have strong judgment about when to add process and when to stay out of the way, and youβre comfortable with a role that will evolve organically as Granola grows
