IMAGINE THE FUTURE AT ENVALIOR
As a Lead Buyer, you are responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies for indirect materials and services across the Antwerp sites. You work closely with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders to maximize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) savings, strengthen supplier partnerships, and mitigate business risks.
You play a crucial role in supporting the site strategy through effective sourcing, supplier management, and contract compliance while contributing to the overall success of Envalior’s Indirect Procurement organization.
You will make an impact by:
- Developing and implementing procurement strategies for site-specific indirect spend categories
- Leading cross-functional sourcing teams to identify opportunities and deliver sustainable value
- Building strong partnerships with internal stakeholders, including Operations, Maintenance, Supply Chain, HR, and Site Leadership
- Managing supplier relationships and driving supplier performance improvements
- Acting as Contract Manager for assigned categories, ensuring contract implementation and compliance
- Monitoring contract adherence and initiating corrective actions where necessary
- Identifying opportunities to reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and generate sustainable cost savings
- Assessing and mitigating procurement-related business risks, including supplier dependency and changing market conditions
- Supporting the implementation of site and procurement strategies through effective sourcing initiatives
- Collaborating closely with the global Indirect Procurement team to align local and global objectives
Requirements
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or another relevant discipline
- You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in indirect procurement within an industrial or international environment
- You possess strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- You have experience leading cross-functional projects and collaborating with diverse stakeholder groups
- You are an excellent communicator and relationship builder
- You have a proactive, solution-oriented mindset and take ownership of your responsibilities
- You are analytical, resourceful, and able to prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment
- You are adaptable and comfortable responding to changing business needs and market conditions
- You have experience with contract management and procurement processes
- You are fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken
