Apt Resources is looking for a skilled and passionate Commis 1 - Sushi to join the culinary team at a prestigious 5-Star Luxury Hotel in the Red Sea, Saudi Arabia. This role focuses on the preparation and presentation of authentic sushi and Japanese cuisine, ensuring the highest level of quality and guest satisfaction.

As a Commis 1 specializing in sushi, you will work closely with the Sushi Chef and kitchen brigade to deliver exquisite dishes that showcase culinary artistry, precision, and freshness.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare sushi and sashimi according to traditional techniques and hotel standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station
• Ensure the highest food safety and hygiene standards are consistently met
• Assist in inventory management and proper storage of fish and ingredients
• Collaborate with kitchen team to deliver timely and excellent service
• Continuously develop skills and knowledge in Japanese culinary arts

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Commis 1 or relevant role specializing in sushi preparation, preferably within luxury hotel or fine dining environment
• Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and Japanese cuisine
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
• Excellent attention to detail and presentation skills
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Passion for culinary excellence and eagerness to learn
• Must be currently in UAE
