About the role
Workstate is seeking an ERP Data Conversion Developer to join our expert team in support of an Oracle Fusion migration initiative. In this role, you will build data extracts from legacy platforms, support data cleansing and deduplication, and perform reconciliation activities to help ensure accurate, complete, and reliable data conversion into Oracle Fusion.
As a key contributor, you will work closely with technical, functional, data, and business stakeholders to understand legacy data structures, define extraction logic, validate mapping requirements, and support conversion cycles from initial mock loads through production cutover. This role requires strong SQL and data analysis skills, practical experience with ERP data migration, and the ability to support conversion work while the existing team continues to maintain legacy applications.
This position is remote-friendly and available to residents of Colombia or Argentina with the right to work in their country of residence.
Job Duties
- Build and maintain data extracts from legacy platforms to support conversion into Oracle Fusion
- Analyze legacy data sources, tables, fields, relationships, and business rules needed for migration
- Partner with functional and technical teams to define source-to-target mappings and extraction requirements
- Support data deduplication efforts to eliminate redundancies and improve data quality before load
- Cleanse, transform, standardize, and prepare data for conversion into Oracle Fusion
- Generate extract files, staging datasets, or load-ready templates for mock and production conversion cycles
- Perform end-to-end reconciliation between legacy and target platforms to validate data accuracy, completeness, and integrity
- Investigate data discrepancies, rejected records, duplicate values, mapping issues, and conversion defects
- Document extraction logic, transformation rules, reconciliation results, known exceptions, and issue resolution steps
- Support mock conversions, validation cycles, UAT support, production cutover, and post-conversion stabilization
- Collaborate with existing application teams to reduce disruption to ongoing legacy application support
- Provide data analysis and reporting support to help stakeholders understand conversion status, risks, and readiness
- Assist with cutover planning by validating final extracts, confirming data quality, and supporting production load activities
- Help ensure that data conversion work is repeatable, auditable, and aligned with Oracle Fusion migration requirements
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated some of the following skills professionally, but not necessarily all:
- Experience building data extracts from legacy systems to support ERP data conversion or migration initiatives
- Strong SQL skills for querying, extracting, transforming, validating, and reconciling data
- Experience with data deduplication, cleansing, standardization, and data quality remediation
- Working knowledge of data conversion processes for Oracle Fusion or comparable enterprise ERP platforms
- Ability to analyze legacy data structures, identify source-to-target mappings, and document extraction logic
- Experience supporting mock conversions, test loads, validation cycles, cutover planning, and post-load reconciliation
- Familiarity with common ERP data domains such as suppliers, customers, chart of accounts, invoices, payments, assets, projects, or transactional history
- Ability to perform end-to-end reconciliation between legacy and target platforms to validate accuracy and completeness
- Experience working with flat files, CSV, SQL extracts, staging tables, and data load templates
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools, scripting, or automation approaches is a plus
- Ability to troubleshoot data discrepancies, mapping gaps, duplicate records, rejected loads, and conversion defects
- Strong documentation skills for mappings, rules, assumptions, exceptions, and validation results
- Experience collaborating with functional SMEs, application teams, database teams, and business stakeholders
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple conversion workstreams and support iterative delivery cycles
If you are excited about this position but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with all the listed skills, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the person we are looking for in this or another role.
