We're currently partnered with a client based in Swindon who are looking for a Quality Assurance Reviewing Officer.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Reviewing Officer (QAROs) to join our growing team. Reporting to the Service Manager, you’ll deliver high-quality independent oversight across children in care, child protection, and fostering reviews - ensuring statutory safeguarding requirements are met while driving service improvement.

QAROs play a key role in promoting strengths-based practice, supporting professional challenge, and fostering effective multi-agency collaboration. The service champions a child’s right to family life and is central to Swindon’s Family Safeguarding model, which is making a real difference to children and families. When care is needed, QAROs ensure the Local Authority provides the best possible support.

About You

You’re driven by purpose, passionate about making a difference, and ready to help shape the future of Children’s Services. We’re a local authority committed to continuous improvement, and we want social workers who share our ambition to be part of that transformation. In return, you’ll be fully supported with the training, resources, and professional network needed to thrive. Our teams are proactive, forward-thinking, and united by a shared goal: delivering the best outcomes for children and families. If that sounds like you, we’d love to have you on the journey.

- A relentless commitment to quality
- Minimum of 5 years post qualifying experience including previous and recent management experience of supervising staff in a Children Social Care setting
- Experience of chairing complex meetings when there is conflict and anxiety to manage
- Experience of managing complex Child Protection and Cared for Children work where children may be removed from their parents care.
- Supervisory and management experience.
- Expert knowledge of current and relevant child care legislation, guidance and procedures.

- Free Parking
- 28 days holiday allowance
- Pension Contributions
- Professional Development opportunities
- Flexible working

If you're driven to put children and young people at the centre of your practice and have the ambition to shape brighter futures, we’d love to hear from you!
