About the role
We're looking for a driven Sales Representative to join our Christchurch hybrid site, selling stainless steel and aluminium to a diverse customer base across the region.
This is a hands-on, target-driven B2B sales role — where success is measured by your ability to win new business, grow existing accounts, and consistently hit revenue targets. You'll be out in the market, building relationships, quoting jobs, and closing deals. Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am–5:00pm (40–45 hours/week)
What you’ll be doing
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across Canterbury and the wider South Island
- Manage and grow an existing customer portfolio in stainless and aluminium
- Prepare accurate quotes, costings, and proposals
- Deliver sales presentations and tailored product solutions
- Monitor market trends, pipeline, and upcoming projects
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline and consistently hit targets
- Work closely with the internal sales, processing, and dispatch teams to deliver a seamless customer experience
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years B2B / external sales experience
- Proven track record of hitting or exceeding sales targets
- Experience with quoting, pricing, and margin management
- Sales pipeline management and forecasting
- Strong "hunter" mindset — confident at finding and winning new business
- Full NZ driver's licence
- Currently based in NZ or holding a valid NZ work visa
- Willing to complete a pre-employment medical & drug screen
Nice to have
- Knowledge of stainless steel, aluminium, or industrial metals
- Technical or solution-based sales background
- Existing network across Canterbury / South Island industry
