The Technical Engineer III serves as a senior technical advisor responsible for evaluating enterprise architectures, supporting systems integration, and providing technical leadership across Health IT modernization initiatives. This position works closely with Government stakeholders and technical teams to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, interoperable, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards. This is a remote position requiring all work be performed in the continental United States. US Citizenship is required for consideration for this position.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for enterprise Health IT modernization initiatives.
- Evaluate solution architectures, system integrations, and technical designs.
- Support interoperability initiatives across Government-managed platforms.
- Review technical documentation, interface specifications, and implementation plans.
- Identify technical risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Support cloud modernization and infrastructure planning activities.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with Federal security requirements.
- Support technical reviews, architecture governance boards, and design sessions.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions.
- Develop technical standards, engineering documentation, and best practices.
- Provide technical guidance to project teams and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- Minimum ten (10) years of enterprise systems engineering experience.
- Experience with systems integration, enterprise architecture, and cloud technologies.
- Knowledge of API development, interoperability, and enterprise application integration.
- Experience supporting large Federal IT modernization programs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain DHS Public Trust suitability.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud certifications.
- Experience supporting Health IT or EHR modernization initiatives.
- Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, and healthcare interoperability standards.
- Experience with NIST RMF, FISMA, and Zero Trust Architecture.
- TOGAF, CISSP, Azure Solutions Architect, or similar technical certification.
Compensation
Expected Salary Range: $145,000–$154,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location (if applicable), and final contract funding.
This position is expected to support a federal customer. Employment is contingent upon contract award and successful completion of any required background investigation or security requirements.
