Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking an RN Pulmonary for a top Healthcare client.

This specialized nursing role delivers compassionate care and treatment to adult patients with a focus on pulmonary (respiratory) illnesses and recovery within a collaborative, patient-centered model. The RN is required to perform thorough clinical assessments, analyze data to guide treatment autonomously, and advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team to ensure excellent clinical outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collect comprehensive patient data pertinent to the respiratory situation and analyze assessment data to determine priority diagnoses or issues.
  • Identify expected, individualized outcomes and develop a plan of care that addresses the patient's pulmonary and overall health status.
  • Act as an advocate for patient safety and collaborate effectively as part of the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Educate patients and their families regarding medications, respiratory procedures, and treatments, providing support throughout their stay.
  • Ensure effective care and appropriate use of time, supplies, and equipment in the administration of all treatments.
  • Perform procedures and monitoring functions as ordered by medical providers, ensuring thorough and timely documentation.
  • Provide direct care and treatment to acutely ill or recovering adults, utilizing autonomous clinical assessment skills.

Requirements

Education

  • Nursing Diploma or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) is required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • Completion of an accredited nursing program is required.

Experience

  • Minimum of one (1) year of Acute Care Registered Nurse (RN) experience is required.
  • Prior experience in a Pulmonary, Respiratory, or Med-Surg unit is highly desirable (implied by the job title).

Certifications/Licenses

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida, Multistate, or able to obtain licensure prior to start is required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA Healthcare Provider) is required prior to start.
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

  • Proven ability to make autonomous clinical assessments and manage treatment protocols effectively.
  • Strong advocacy and collaboration skills for interdisciplinary teamwork.
  • Expertise in patient education, particularly regarding medications and complex treatments.
