Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the implementation of environmental, health and safety programs (e.g., CARE, SAFE) focusing on environmental control, occupational health and safety culture.
  • Ensure overall corporate institutional EHS governance, risk assessments, emergency
  • preparedness, and internal audits are conducted regularly and in accordance with local laws and global standards.
  • Update institutional EH&S policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Ensure alignment with international best practices and donor requirements.
  • Provide oversight of workplace health monitoring, hazard identification, and preventive programs across HQ, ES and country offices.
  • Monitor regional EH&S implementation plans.
  • Lead the annual EH&S planning cycle.
  • Monitor legal compliance across all countries.
  • Supervise the delivery of medical services, including monitoring of health risks such as epidemics and managing wellness data via the EHS dashboard.
  • Ensure environment, health and safety management system programs are aligned with institutional goals and support Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
  • Coordinate institutional responses to significant compliance findings.

Requirements

  • Master degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering,
  • Environmental Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–6 years of experience in EH&S management.
  • Occupational Health and Safety certification or diploma.
  • Experience working across multiple countries and cultures.
  • Strong analytical and information management skills.
  • Experience in operational risk management and emergency response.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office environment.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Collaboration Model with Regional Offices.
