Companies PeakMetrics Vice President, Federal Growth

About the role

PeakMetrics

PeakMetrics is a narrative intelligence platform that protects enterprises and government agencies from social media manipulation, influence campaigns, and emerging narrative threats. Using advanced machine learning, our platform transforms millions of cross-channel media signals into actionable intelligence — giving customers the context and clarity they need to detect threats early and respond effectively.

The Role

PeakMetrics is hiring a VP, Federal Growth to lead our federal go-to-market strategy and revenue outcomes across the Department of Defense (DoD) and the broader U.S. Government (USG). This is the senior-most federal growth leader at PeakMetrics and is accountable for setting strategy, building and managing the team, creating qualified pipeline, leading capture and partner strategy, and delivering bookings, renewals, and expansions.

You will be shaping strategy and leading the federal team while remaining close to the deals — personally developing key relationships, running capture on priority pursuits, and driving wins. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a high-ownership environment and finds energy in being in the field, not just directing from the sidelines.

You have a deep familiarity with the modern information environment - including narrative intelligence and influence operations - with a proven record of winning federal business through disciplined capture execution and strong stakeholder relationships.

Core Responsibilities

  • Own the full federal revenue lifecycle: strategy, pipeline, capture, bookings, renewals/recompetes, and expansions.

  • Set federal growth strategy and priorities aligned to PeakMetrics’ product capabilities and delivery capacity.

  • Personally drive opportunity identification and qualification; establish a clear pursuit selection framework (prime vs. sub, vehicle fit, probability-to-win).

  • Build and maintain a disciplined federal operating rhythm (pipeline reviews, capture gates, forecast cadence, and executive reporting).

  • Lead capture execution for priority pursuits, including win themes, competitive positioning, teaming strategy, pricing inputs, and close plans.

  • Own and expand strategic partner and prime contractor relationships; negotiate teaming agreements, workshare, and partner commitments.

  • Serve as an executive-level representative for PeakMetrics in customer engagements, partner meetings, and federal industry forums.

  • Develop account strategies for existing federal customers to protect and grow revenue through option years, task orders, modifications, and follow-on awards.

  • Partner with Product and Insights to translate customer insights into product roadmap inputs and to ensure delivery readiness for pursuits.

  • Oversee proposal strategy and submission readiness, coordinating internal SMEs and external proposal support as needed to meet deadlines and compliance requirements.

  • Manage, coach, and develop the federal team; establish performance expectations, role clarity, and accountability for outcomes.

  • Drive accurate CRM usage and forecasting discipline; ensure leadership has clear visibility into deal health, risks, and next actions.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant experience spanning federal business development, capture, mission support, or related leadership roles.

  • Proven record of building pipeline and winning federal business (prime and/or subcontract) through disciplined capture execution.

  • Experience engaging senior DoD/USG stakeholders and navigating complex acquisition environments.

  • Working knowledge of federal procurement pathways and vehicles (e.g., IDIQs, BPAs, OTAs, SBIR/STTR, subcontracting).

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate mission needs into clear value propositions and win themes.

  • Comfort operating in a high-ownership, fast-moving startup environment with limited resources and high accountability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance strongly preferred.

  • Military service or equivalent mission experience supporting DoD/IC operations.

  • Experience in the information environment, including OSINT, MISO, Information Operations, influence analysis, or related disciplines.

  • Existing network across DoD/IC and/or mission-aligned prime contractors.

  • Experience selling analytics, measurement, SaaS, or services supporting strategic communications or information operations.

Benefits

  • Remote-first culture

  • Competitive Compensation

  • Health insurance, 401(k) and other benefits

  • Flexible work schedule and unlimited time off

  • Opportunities for professional growth and development

  • A vibrant and inclusive company culture
