About the Role:

We are seeking a hands-on Financial Controller who will play a critical role in managing and strengthening the financial operations that support our next stage of growth.This is not a traditional back-office accounting role.

The Financial Controller will own the day-to-day financial operations of the company, ensuring revenue is billed accurately, payments are collected on time, vendors and contractors are paid correctly, and financial reporting is timely and accurate.

The ideal candidate thrives in a growing company environment, enjoys solving operational challenges, and takes full ownership of the financial health of the organization.

This role is based in Austin and is expected to be in-office approximately two days per week, during the onboarding and ramp-up period as needed.

What you will work on

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • CPA preferred.

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.

  • Experience as a Controller, Accounting Manager, or Senior Accountant in a growth-stage company.

  • Advanced QuickBooks experience required, including billing, reconciliations, reporting, accounts receivable, and multi-entity financial management.

  • Experience using Bill.com for accounts payable management, employee reimbursements, payment processing, and approval workflows.

  • Experience managing accounts receivable, billing operations, and recurring revenue.

  • Experience managing recurring memberships, subscriptions, healthcare billing, or other recurring revenue models preferred.

  • Strong understanding of US GAAP.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.

  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of outcomes, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
