Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Thursday & Friday essential), 08:30–17:00
Job Overview
Pulse is currently seeking experienced Band 7 Specialist Pharmacists to join the Respiratory Pharmacy team (multiple positions). This role offers an excellent opportunity to lead and develop clinical pharmacy services within the respiratory directorate, ensuring high-quality, patient-centred care. The successful candidates will play a key role in optimising medicines use, supporting clinical teams, and driving service improvements within respiratory medicine.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery and development of clinical pharmacy services for respiratory patients.
- Provide expert pharmaceutical advice to ensure safe, effective, and cost-efficient use of medicines.
- Support medicines optimisation and contribute to improved patient outcomes.
- Undertake risk management and ensure compliance with medicines legislation.
- Drive financial efficiencies and savings within respiratory services.
- Deliver education and training programmes relevant to respiratory pharmacy.
Qualifications and Experience
- Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Experience working at Band 7 level or equivalent in a hospital setting.
- Clinical experience in respiratory medicine (desirable).
- Strong knowledge of medicines optimisation and governance.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
