We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our growing MEP Engineering team. This position will work closely with senior engineers and other team members to deliver high-quality projects that meet client goals and adhere to the firm’s standards. This position requires understanding of all project phases including schematic design, design development, construction documents and construction contract administration.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform engineering analysis, design, and system selection for building applications with support of a senior engineer.
- Ensure conformance of design with applicable building codes and project sustainability goals.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members
- Coordinate the submittal of documentation for permitting/regulatory review with multiple local agencies and jurisdictions.
- Participate in the feasibility, conceptual, and early planning of projects through final design, construction and post-occupancy with the guidance of a senior engineer.
- Clearly and concisely convey technical solutions and performance objectives while ensuring project alignment with client goals, project design, sustainability objectives, schedule, budget, constructability and post-occupancy performance.
- Lead the preparation of design documentation including BIM models, drawings, and specifications under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including architecture, engineering, sustainability, construction, and other consultants, to support the integrated delivery of projects.
- Conduct research on systems, products, building codes, and sustainable design practices to inform project decisions.
- Perform construction phase and post-occupancy activities including submittal review, construction site observations and commissioning conclusion.
- Participate in cross-discipline career development. Engage in continuous learning opportunities, attend industry events, and participate in internal training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
MINIMUM BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE EXPECTATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from accredited engineering program. Master of Science (MS) degree from accredited engineering program a plus.
- 4 - 8 years of related engineering experience.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required for Engineer title (Designer is designation if no license).
- LEED or other sustainable building certification a plus.
Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
