The Maintenance Controls Manager will oversee plant maintenance systems, equipment reliability, automation controls, and continuous improvement initiatives to maximize uptime, plant efficiency, and safety performance.

This role works closely with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to improve equipment performance, reduce downtime, and support overall plant productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support world-class plant safety initiatives and safe maintenance practices
  • Develop and implement maintenance reliability and preventive maintenance programs
  • Improve equipment uptime, operational efficiency, and overall plant performance
  • Analyze reliability metrics, maintenance trends, and equipment performance data
  • Coordinate troubleshooting and resolution of equipment and process issues
  • Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives
  • Lead maintenance and process improvement projects
  • Maintain equipment documentation, drawings, inspection records, and maintenance systems
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams on process improvements and new operating procedures
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards and internal maintenance procedures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Strong maintenance engineering and reliability background
  • Experience with PLC programming and industrial automation systems
  • Allen Bradley PLC experience required
  • Siemens controls experience preferred
  • Experience with CMMS systems and maintenance tracking software
  • Working knowledge of preventive, predictive, and proactive maintenance practices
  • Six Sigma or continuous improvement experience is a plus
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
