WHY DEPT®?
We are pioneers at heart. What this means, is that we are always leaning forward, thinking of what we can create tomorrow that does not exist today. We were born digital and we are a new model of agency, with a deep skillset in tech and marketing. That’s why we hire curious, self-driven, talented people who never stop innovating.
Our culture is big enough to cope and small enough to care. Meaning, that with people across 20+ countries, we’re big enough to provide you with the best tools, global opportunities, and benefits that help you thrive. While acting small by investing in you, your growth, your team, and giving you the autonomy to solve our clients problems, no matter where you are in the world.
THE ROLE:
DEPT® is looking for a powerhouse Adobe Business Consultant Analyst to serve as the vital bridge between ambitious marketing visions and technical execution. You are a solution designer who understands the "plumbing" of the Adobe Experience Cloud, taking complex goals like "real-time omnichannel personalization" and documenting exactly how the ecosystem needs to be configured to make it happen. You will sit at the intersection of strategy and technology, ensuring that Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Real-Time CDP, and Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) are architected to deliver world-class customer experiences.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Requirement Discovery: Lead workshops with stakeholders to extract and refine high-impact business use cases for RTCDP and AJO.
- Technical Documentation: Author comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and Solution Design References (SDRs) that provide a clear, actionable roadmap for development teams.
- User Story Mapping: Translate complex requirements into detailed Jira stories, defining necessary XDM schemas, identity namespaces, and segment logic.
- Journey Mapping: Design and document end-to-end customer journeys in Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), including triggers, data payloads, and orchestration logic.
- Web SDK Alignment: Partner with implementation teams to ensure the Web SDK data layer captures the specific attributes required for real-time activation.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Define and oversee test cases to validate that data flowing into AEP matches business requirements and triggers the intended orchestration in AJO.
- Traceability & ROI: Ensure every technical configuration within the platform can be traced back to a specific business ROI goal, performing gap analyses to identify missing data elements in the tech stack.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Experience: 5+ years as a Business Analyst or Consultant specifically focused within the Adobe Experience Cloud ecosystem.
- Platform Mastery: Deep understanding of the Adobe "Data Lifecycle"—from ingestion via Web SDK to modeling in AEP/RTCDP and activation via AJO.
- Technical Literacy: Fluency in XDM Schemas, Profile attributes vs. Experience Events, and the logic of Identity Resolution (ECID, Email, CRM ID).
- Orchestration Logic: Ability to document complex "Wait" steps, "Split" paths, and "Decisioning" logic within Adobe Journey Optimizer.
- Visual Communication: Proficiency in tools like Lucidchart or Miro to map intricate data flows and customer journey orchestrations.
- Agile Expertise: A proven track record of writing clear technical User Stories and actively managing backlogs in an Agile framework.
- Analytical Mindset: Highly detail-oriented with the ability to translate raw strategic insights into tangible technical visual languages.
Work Environment: Remote position - TRAVEL EXPECTED
