About the role
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, acting as their senior strategic advisor and primary point of contact, with a deep understanding of clients’ business models, commercial objectives, industry dynamics, competitive landscape, and target audiences.
- Lead the development of comprehensive, insight-driven social media strategies that align with clients’ business and marketing objectives, ensuring integration across paid, owned, and earned channels.
- Oversee the strategic planning and optimisation of social media campaigns, ensuring clear KPIs, measurement frameworks, and continuous performance improvement.
- Provide data-backed recommendations through analysis of performance metrics, market research, audience insights, and industry benchmarks to refine strategies and drive growth.
- Lead and mentor account teams with a strong emphasis on strategic thinking, business acumen, and performance accountability, ensuring high-quality strategic output across all accounts.
- Foster a collaborative and strategy-first team culture, promoting innovation, professional development, and knowledge sharing across departments.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide structured feedback to team members, focusing on strategic contribution and client impact.
- Identify new business opportunities by analysing market trends, client needs, and competitive gaps, actively contributing to the agency’s growth strategy.
- Participate in new business pitches, strategic presentations, and proposal development, crafting compelling strategic narratives and growth plans.
- Track account profitability and revenue growth, identifying opportunities for strategic upselling, cross-selling, and long-term account expansion.
- Stay abreast of social media trends, platform developments, emerging technologies, and industry best practices, translating them into actionable strategic opportunities for clients.
Requirements
- A BSc/BA in advertising, design, or a related subject will be regarded an asset; an MSc/MA will be considered an asset.
- Minimum 10 years experience of related experience
- Proven experience in leading strategic planning for high-profile or multi-channel accounts.
- In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, best practices, and emerging trends.
- Strong analytical capabilities and experience using data to inform strategic decision-making.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Own and drive account profitability, with full accountability for revenue growth, margin performance, cost control, and overall financial health of assigned accounts; proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency, optimize scope, and maximize long-term value for both the client and the business.
