Albert Bartlett is seeking a Quality Manager for the Backshift to oversee the quality control and assurance processes specific to our chilled products. As a key member of our quality management team, you will ensure that all chilled products meet our high standards for quality and safety, aligning with both company and regulatory requirements.

In this role, you will manage the quality control team during the backshift, implementing and monitoring quality procedures, conducting inspections, and addressing any issues that arise promptly. Your leadership will drive a culture of excellence in our production processes, guaranteeing that our customers receive only the best products.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the quality control processes for all chilled products during the backshift.
  • Develop and maintain quality assurance protocols to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Lead and mentor the quality control team, providing training and support as needed.
  • Conduct product inspections, audits, and quality assessments to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with production and supply chain teams to address quality-related issues and enhance overall process efficiency.
  • Analyze quality data and metrics to report findings and recommend improvements to senior management.
  • Ensure effective communication with all stakeholders regarding quality and safety compliance.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in quality management within the food production industry, specifically with chilled products.
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles, food safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
  • Experience in conducting audits and implementing quality control measures.
  • Analytical skills with a solid understanding of data evaluation and reporting.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office.
  • HACCP certification and knowledge of BRC standards is preferred.
  • Ability to work flexibly during backshift hours and respond to quality issues promptly.
  • Working hours- Monday - Friday 3PM- 12.30AM
