Salesforce Systems Administrator
Systems Administrator, Business Systems – Billing Operations
Fastly's Business Systems team is looking for a detail-oriented Salesforce Systems Administrator who will be working primarily with our billing operations business partners. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and scalability of the systems that power Fastly's billing and revenue operations workflows. We manage systems that span the entire Quote-to-Cash lifecycle — including Salesforce CPQ, LogiSense, and NetSuite — and we're looking for someone who thrives on finding discrepancies in data, tracing them to root cause, and building durable solutions. This role reports to the Go-to-Market Systems Operations Manager.
What You'll Do:
- Serve as the primary Salesforce administrator supporting the Billing Operations team, ensuring day-to-day system health and user support for billing-related workflows.
- Implement and maintain Salesforce CPQ configurations including product catalog, pricing rules, quote templates, order management, and billing triggers.
- Investigate and resolve billing data discrepancies across Salesforce CPQ, LogiSense, and NetSuite — identifying root causes and partnering with stakeholders to implement permanent fixes.
- Understanding integrations between Salesforce and billing/revenue systems, including LogiSense, NetSuite, and automation platforms such as Workato.
- Implement and maintain Salesforce customizations including custom fields and objects, layouts, workflows, flows, and validation rules that support billing accuracy and compliance.
- Provide escalated support to end users of Salesforce and related billing systems.
- Participate in the planning and analysis of business requirements for billing systems changes and enhancements.
- Monitor system performance and data integrity, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact billing operations.
- Partner with developers, business systems analysts, and finance/billing stakeholders to perform root cause analysis and identify areas for improvement.
- Identify manual, time-consuming billing processes and build automated, scalable solutions to replace them.
- Improve the overall quality and completeness of documentation for billing-related system configurations and processes.
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience as a Salesforce administrator or similar role.
- Salesforce CPQ experience is required — including configuration of products, pricing, quoting, and order/billing processes.
- Strong understanding of Quote-to-Cash processes, with hands-on experience managing these workflows in Salesforce.
- Experience with billing systems such as LogiSense and/or NetSuite is highly desired.
- Experience with integration platforms such as Workato or similar iPaaS tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail — you are someone who notices when numbers don't add up and won't stop until you understand why.
- Demonstrated ability to investigate data discrepancies across multiple systems, perform root cause analysis, and drive resolution.
- Proficiency with Salesforce across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, and the broader Force.com platform in a Lightning environment.
- Knowledge of Salesforce permissions, roles, reports, dashboards, and logical formulas.
- Ability to write medium-complexity SOQL queries.
- Prior experience in a SaaS or usage/consumption-based business strongly preferred.
- Exceptional communicator with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage fast-changing priorities and deliver impactful solutions to business stakeholders.
We'll Be Super Impressed If You Have:
- Salesforce Certifications — Administrator, CPQ Specialist, Sales Cloud Consultant, or similar.
- Experience implementing AppExchange apps and third-party integrations within Salesforce (Workato, Marketo, LeanData, ZoomInfo, etc.).
- Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Gearset, GitHub, or Prodly.
- Experience with production monitoring tools such as Splunk applied to Salesforce environments.
Work Hours: This position will require availability during core business hours as well as participation in an on-call rotation.
Work Location(s): Pune, India
