Apt Resources is seeking a heavy equipment mechanic with experience in the field of agriculture or farming for one of its clients in Angola, to support vital agricultural operations. This hands-on position requires strong technical judgment and practical troubleshooting skills to perform dependable maintenance and maximize machinery uptime.

As a Heavy Mechanic - Agriculture, you will play an important role in keeping critical farm machinery running safely and efficiently. This is a role for someone who is comfortable working closely with site teams, responding to equipment issues with urgency, and helping maintain consistent performance across active agricultural operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair agricultural heavy machinery to minimize operational downtime.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults on tractors and farm equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service scheduling for field machinery.
• Coordinate with operators to troubleshoot equipment issues across agricultural sites.
• Ensure repairs meet safety standards and support reliable on-site operations.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience repairing agricultural heavy equipment such as tractors, harvesters, and other field machinery.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance on agricultural heavy equipment in remote or field-based environments.
• Strong hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and heavy equipment diagnostic systems.
• Relevant mechanical certification or equivalent hands-on heavy equipment training.
• Ability to communicate effectively in Portuguese.
• Must be willing to relocate to Angola if selected
