Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Manager – Accounts Payable to manage end-to-end Accounts Payable operations for the India Finance function. The role will be responsible for ensuring accurate processing of vendor transactions, timely payments, compliance with GST and TDS regulations, vendor reconciliations, audit support, and month-end closing activities. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable operations, including invoice processing, PO matching, vendor reconciliations, and timely payment execution.
  • Ensure compliance with GST regulations, including invoice validation, ITC reconciliation (GSTR-2A/2B), and RCM accounting.
  • Oversee TDS compliance by ensuring accurate deduction, accounting, reconciliations, and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and resolve payment or reconciliation-related queries efficiently.
  • Prepare AP ageing reports, MIS, and other finance-related reports as required.
  • Support statutory, tax, and internal audits by providing accurate documentation and schedules.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and controls within the Accounts Payable function.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth finance operations and compliance.

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable processes, GST, TDS, and Indian statutory compliance.
  • Experience in vendor management, reconciliations, payment processing, and financial reporting.
  • Understanding of audit requirements, internal controls, and month-end closing activities.

Systems & Tools

  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar platforms.
  • Working knowledge of GST Portal, TRACES, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and data analysis.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of experience in Accounts Payable within a corporate environment.
  • Experience supporting statutory audits, tax audits, and compliance reporting.
  • Exposure to the IT, gaming, media, animation, or services industry will be an added advantage.
