Join us on our Engineering Vacation Student Program for 2026/27

Kick-start your engineering career by joining the DOF Australia Engineering Vacation Student Program for 2026/27. This is your opportunity to gain hands-on experience, work on real projects, and be part of a global leader in the offshore energy industry.

We are offering a 12-week paid Summer placement for enthusiastic, curious, and forward-thinking engineering students. Throughout the program, you’ll gain practical experience across both our Project Engineering and Design Engineering teams, contributing to real subsea engineering work.

We are seeking applications from people studying the following disciplines, recognised by Engineers Australia for professional membership:

  • Ocean Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Naval Architectural
  • Civil/Structural Engineering

About the Opportunity

As a Vacation Student, you will support the safe execution and delivery of engineering activities on real underwater intervention projects. Working alongside experienced professionals, you’ll gain exposure to our advanced subsea fleet and offshore operations.

This unique experience will provide valuable insight into the subsea construction industry and leave you with practical skills and knowledge to support your future career.

Requirements

  • Currently in your 3rd Year or Penultimate year of study in Engineering or Naval Architecture
  • Proactive with demonstrated initiative in your studies, work, or community
  • Passionate about your chosen discipline and eager to learn
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys working with others
  • A strong communicator with analytical thinking skills

  • Dates: 16 November 2026 – 12 February 2027
  • Location: Perth CBD
