About the Role
As a Business Strategy Lead for Merchant Wallet Team, you will spearhead initiatives to drive business growth and optimise the go-to-market strategy across our merchant product portfolio. You will own challenging problem statements from merchant payment acceptance to helping merchants grow their business with GoPay Merchant offerings like QRIS, GoPay Agen, and PPOB.
This is a high-impact, cross-functional role where your decisions will directly shape how millions of merchants experience GoPay Merchant App. You'll work at the intersection of business strategy, product, and data — translating insights into initiatives that drive measurable merchant success. The ideal candidate will have experience in business and product management, data analytics, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
What You Will Do
Identify, define and execute go-to-market strategies for merchant wallet products to drive growth and improve long-term retention across merchant segments.
Translate business opportunities into clear problem statements, prioritise them, develop and implement go-to-market plans and strategies, and oversee product adoption by monitoring funnel conversion rates and merchant experiences throughout the process.
Continuously monitor the product lifecycle, making data-driven decisions to improve and refine the product.
Collaborate closely with Product, Analytics, Research, Sales, Marketing, Compliance, and Legal teams to deliver cohesive, high-quality merchant experiences
Build and maintain a deep understanding of the merchant landscape, competitor dynamics, and regulatory environment in Indonesia
Drive alignment across stakeholders on priorities, roadmaps, and success metrics
What You Will Need
Minimum 6+ years of experience: Demonstrated expertise in business, product management, project management, strategy, or a related field - ideally within fintech, payments, or a tech platform.
Analytical and quantitative skills: Proficient in utilising data and metrics to support requirements and features, with a strong focus on driving data-driven decisions. Excel and SQL proficiency is a must-have.
Strong sense of ownership: Ability to navigate and create clarity in ambiguous situations, demonstrating proactive leadership and initiative.
Problem-solving skills: Capable of breaking down complex problems, identifying use cases and solutions, and thriving in unstructured environments.
Comprehensive understanding: Deep understanding of data, design, research, and business processes — able to work effectively across product, analytics, operations, marketing, and other diverse teams
Agile and adaptive thinking: Quick to respond to market changes, data, research, and merchant feedback, continuously enhancing overall experiences and metrics.
Effective communication: Exceptional ability to articulate strategy, insights, priorities, and plans clearly to all levels of management and stakeholders
Meticulous attention to detail: Commitment to upholding high standards, and managing multiple competing priorities concurrently with minimal supervision.
