Reporting to the Supervisor, Online Trading, the Registered Representative is responsible for maintaining client relationships through the digital wealth channel, ensuring our clients receive services to meet their financial planning needs to provide first-class strategic wealth management services.

What your day looks like:
- Execute client-initiated financial transactions and account requests on Qtrade Guided Portfolios (QGP), including contributions, withdrawals, transfers, and portfolio changes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance
- Review and validate account openings and updates, confirming completeness, suitability of client information, and alignment with selected portfolio strategies before processing
- Act as the primary point of contact for financial servicing needs, managing requests end-to-end by coordinating with internal teams, escalating where required, and ensuring completion within service standards
- Monitor market activity and proactively apply relevant insights when processing client instructions or portfolio adjustments to support informed execution
- Clearly communicate how transactions, portfolio changes, and market conditions impact client accounts and investment outcomes, ensuring alignment with client objectives and risk tolerance
- Perform portfolio maintenance activities, including rebalancing and tactical adjustments, to ensure ongoing alignment with investment mandates and client profiles
- Identify and resolve operational or transactional issues, ensuring proper documentation, compliance adherence, and efficient resolution
- Drive continuous improvement in financial servicing workflows by identifying process gaps and implementing enhancements that improve processing efficiency, accuracy, and client outcomes
- Maintain strong knowledge of product features, operational procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure consistent and compliant execution of all financial requests
Requirements
Your experience and skills:
- Post secondary education is preferred with an emphasis in business or economics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Completion of the Canadian Securities (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH) is required. Completion of WME (if currently registered as an RR) or the Retail Investments Exam with CIRO (along with CIRE)
- 1-3 years of experience as a Registered Representative or Investment Representative in Direct Investing supporting Client trade orders. A Financial Advisor or an Associate Advisor is ideal
- 2-3 years’ related work experience in the financial services industry in a customer-facing position or in a call centre
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with volumes dictated by market trends, client demands, and seasonal peaks
- A positive attitude and excitement regarding learning new tasks and skills to keep up with changing environments / duties
- Being able to adapt to change is important as our hours can change, and so can your schedule
- Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset

Salary
This position is posted with an expected salary range of $74,000 - $84,000 CAD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.
