MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST

Boingo is looking for a Marketing Communications Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for contributing to our highest-stakes B2B communications—specifically RFIs, RFPs, proposals, and interview decks that directly drive business growth at the bottom of the sales / marketing funnel.
Here’s our philosophy: We don’t care if you’ve never written an RFP before—we can easily teach you the mechanics of procurement. What we do require is outstanding writing and editing skills, a ravenous curiosity, an ironclad sense of accountability, a growth mindset, and the ability to craft persuasive, customer-focused content. This is a highly collaborative, fast-paced role where you’ll partner across technical, finance, engineering, product, sales, account management, and executive teams to gather information, build narratives, and ensure polished communication materials are delivered flawlessly and on time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Development & Storytelling
- Write, edit, and polish proposal content and high-stakes presentation decks in Boingo’s brand voice, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and impact.
- Translate complex technical, financial, and operational concepts into persuasive, customer-focused narratives.
- Demonstrate proficiency using generative AI tools to research, outline, organize, and accelerate content development.
- Maintain and organize marketing templates and content libraries so the team always operates efficiently.
Project Management & Accountability
- Own the logistics of the proposal process from end to end, managing timelines, task assignments, and final quality control.
- Juggle multiple marketing deliverables simultaneously, maintaining a high attention to detail under tight deadlines.
- Track and report on proposal win rates and KPIs, analyzing what worked to continuously improve our messaging.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner proactively across Business Development, Product, Engineering, Finance, and Creative Services to extract the insights you need to build comprehensive narratives.
- Serve as a driving force and primary point of contact for proposal projects, confidently managing up and across teams to ensure inputs are delivered on time.
- Deliver exceptional internal customer service, bringing energy, humility, and a collaborative spirit to every project kickoff.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

- Exceptional Writing & Editing Skills: You know how to command a page, trim the fluff, and write copy that engages a business reader.
- Tech Tools Savvy: Strong skills in PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and AI tools.
- Learning Agility & Growth Mindset: You are deeply curious, highly coachable, welcome constructive feedback, and actively look for ways to absorb information and improve your craft.
- High Accountability & Grit: You take extreme ownership of your deadlines and details, even when operating in a fast-paced environment.
- Impeccable Collaboration: You have the emotional intelligence and confidence to work with diverse personalities, from engineers to executives.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, English, business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Nice-to-Haves (But We Will Happily Train You):
- 1–2 years of experience in a marketing, corporate communications, agency, or sales support environment (strong internship experience absolutely counts).
- Basic exposure to or familiarity with business proposals, presentations, or RFPs.

This role is based in our beautiful Frisco, TX headquarters – just a three-minute walk to The Star, home to the Dallas Cowboys. The Star District offers 35 shops, restaurants, and specialty services.
