About the role
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with travel expense reimbursement and credit card clearing processes in Navan.
- Act as the main internal point of contact for team members regarding expense policy guidelines and missing receipt submission tracking.
- Assist with day-to-day Accounts Payable tasks and vendor management in Oracle and RAMP.
- Support the team with the month-end closing activities (Monatsabschluss) under IFRS.
- Reconcile bank accounts to ensure financial accuracy.
- Work closely with our internal Tax Team on various compliance tasks and cross-functional reporting.
- Assist in cleaning, analyzing, and organizing financial master data within our accounting systems (Oracle, Ramp, Navan)
Experience and Background:
- Practical experience in Finance, Accounting, or a similar data-heavy administrative role (e.g., through prior internships, or working student positions).
- Excellent Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and advanced data manipulation are second nature to you).
- First-hand experience or exposure to Power BI and/or BigQuery. A basic understanding of SQL or exposure to cloud-based ERP systems (Oracle) is a major plus. You enjoy working with large datasets.
- Fluent in English (our core company language). Good conversational German is a strong asset for dealing with local tax topics, regulatory interfaces, and German invoices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain internal financial guidelines clearly, politely, and firmly to non-finance colleagues.
- A structured, highly reliable, and detail-oriented way of working with absolute trustworthiness regarding sensitive financial data.
