Position Overview

The S/4HANA Data Migration Lead is responsible for the end-to-end coordination of data migration activities, ensuring alignment with overall S/4HANA program objectives and seamless collaboration with external partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end coordination of the S/4HANA migration within Richter, aligned with overall program objectives
• Act as primary counterpart to IBM Migration Lead, ensuring tight alignment on scope, timeline, and deliverables
• Coordinate work in cross-functional teams (IT, Data Governance, Business) across Richter
• Support migration planning (waves, cutover strategy, sequencing, dependencies)
• Oversee data migration activities (mapping, cleansing, validation, reconciliation) in collaboration with data owners
• Manage risks, issues, and dependencies related to migration; escalate proactively 
• Align business stakeholders on migration approach, downtime windows, and business continuity plans
• Coordinate testing related to migration (mock loads, dress rehearsals, cutover simulations) 
• Monitor migration execution progress and ensure milestone achievement
• Support decision-making between Richter stakeholders and IBM delivery team 
• Ensure proper documentation of migration processes, assumptions, and outcomes
• Support change management by communicating impacts to business and IT teams 
• Provide regular status updates to program leadership and steering committee
• Coordinate data cleansing and data cleansing-related issue resolution within Richter together with data stewards 

Key Interfaces

• Internal IT teams (SAPSU, Data Science Unit, etc.)
• Data Governance organization (Data Owners, Data Stewards, Data Governance Officers)
• Business stakeholders across functional areas
• S/4HANA Program Leadership and Steering Committee 

Required Experience & Skills

• Strong experience in SAP S/4HANA data migration projects
• Proven leadership in complex, cross-functional programs
• Solid understanding of data migration lifecycle (extraction, transformation, load, validation)
• Experience with migration tools and methodologies 
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Risk and issue management experience
• Experience working with external system integrators 
• Understanding of data governance and data quality practices 
• Experience in pharmaceutical industry 
• Familiarity with data archiving concepts
• Knowledge of SAP data objects and business processes
• Experience in global template or multi-country rollouts
