Remote LMFT Therapist | Maryland Telehealth Counseling Role

Job Summary

This full-time remote opportunity is for a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who wants to provide relationship-focused mental health care through telehealth. You will support Maryland clients as they work through family concerns, marital stress, communication difficulties, anxiety, grief, emotional strain, and life changes.

Your work will include leading virtual therapy sessions, helping clients identify patterns, building practical treatment plans, and documenting care with accuracy. This role offers a professional remote environment where you can focus on delivering thoughtful therapy while maintaining a steady schedule and strong clinical standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide virtual counseling services to individuals, couples, and families
• Lead therapy sessions focused on relationship concerns, family dynamics, and emotional well-being
• Complete intake assessments, treatment plans, clinical notes, and progress reviews
• Help clients strengthen communication, manage conflict, and develop healthier coping strategies
• Apply family systems knowledge and other appropriate clinical techniques
• Monitor client needs and respond appropriately to safety or risk concerns
• Keep documentation current and aligned with professional requirements
• Maintain confidentiality across all telehealth sessions and client communication
• Participate in care coordination when additional support is needed

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
• Active LMFT license in Maryland in good standing
• Experience providing therapy to individuals, couples, or families
• Comfortable delivering care through a secure telehealth platform
• Strong clinical documentation and communication skills
• Familiarity with electronic health records preferred
• Reliable internet connection and a private workspace for virtual sessions

Benefits

• $115,000–$120,000 per year
• Full-time remote position
• Monday–Friday schedule, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
