Position Overview:     

As a Field Crew Chief at JBPro, you will direct a field survey crew and ensure the successful and accurate completion of various survey projects. This role requires strong leadership abilities and adaptability to changing project needs and schedules. Reporting to the Director of Surveying, you will ensure that assigned projects are completed efficiently and on time.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and manage a field survey crew during daily operations to efficiently collect field data.
  • Ensure a safe and organized work environment for crew members and equipment.
  • Maintain detailed and organized field notes.
  • Deliver accurate and precise field data to the office.
  • Train survey crew in survey and mapping methods, equipment uses, and field safety procedures.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Survey Crew Chief.
  • Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with data collection equipment.
  • Preferred: AutoCAD experience.
  • Preferred: FDOT experience and knowledge of FDOT surveying/mapping procedures.
