Airalo’s fully remote Networks & Infrastructure team in the UK is growing. You’ll ensure the systems and infrastructure that power millions of travellers remain fast, secure, and reliable. Solve challenging technical problems, implement improvements, and experiment with solutions that stick, all while having the tools and freedom to make a tangible impact.
We are looking for a skilled and ready to learn backend engineer who is willing to join our expert team developing new features and extending the existing ones in our main product. Responsibilities
Developing enterprise-quality, horizontally scalable, maintainable code using best practices, quickly and according to spec
Developing new features or enhancements to existing features
Developing API with multiple data sources
Developing and designing RESTful services and APIs for front-end clients and other consumers
Migrating Monolithic application to SOA
Collaborating daily with other developers across the full software development lifecycle
Automating testing by writing test code
Troubleshooting issues and problem-solving as necessary
Must-haves:
Experience in building or extending of large scale distributed systems
Minimum 3 years of relevant full-time development experience in PHP
Minimum 2 years experience in Laravel
Proficiency in one or more programming languages like Java, Go, Javascript (Node.js), Typescript
Minimum 1 enterprise project development
Good knowledge of SQL/NoSQL
Experience in AWS services (EC2, Lambda, SQS, Security, Aurora, DynamoDB)
Proficiency in OOP concept, SOLID and design patterns
Experience in distributed systems and have developed RESTful APIs
Knowledge about developing multi-language API and admin panel
Knowledge about Queue and Pub/Sub systems
Knowledge about Unit Test/Feature Test/Mocking
Good communication skills and fluency in English
Good to have:
Expert knowledge of PaaS/ SaaS, SOA, Micro/ Nano services
Prior work experience in telecommunications and network infrastructure
Knowledge of eSIM and GSMA related technologies and services
