We are seeking a passionate Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the Ascendis Pharma team, you will play a crucial role in designing, building and operating data solutions based on business requirements. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with cross-functional, global teams working together to achieve extraordinary results. You will be joining the Data & Analytics team which is responsible for the cross-functional data platform and data services for analytical purposes. You will join a highly motivated team who has a bigger ‘why’ in all their delivered solutions, with a high degree of freedom and space for being ambitious.
You will report directly to People Leader, Babak Bajelan, and Functional Leader, Sune Mejlvang, both based in Hellerup. You will also be based on Hellerup.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Design, build and operate data solutions based on business requirements
- Advice line of business on good data practice and processes
- Be part of business-oriented data projects
- Design and blend data from multiple sources
- Interact with other product teams and owners
Qualifications and Skills:
You hold a relevant academic degree, preferably a master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or something completely different. Most importantly, you know your technology and how to make it work for business.
Furthermore, you have:
- +3 years of experience with azure cloud services and data engineering.
- Hands-on experience developing in python, Databricks, dbt and SQL.
- Experience with designing and delivering data solutions, data load patterns and with data platform architecture.
Ideally you are well versed with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines and Pharma domain knowledge is a plus.
