Digital Assets Researcher

A top-tier Chinese asset management institution.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on digital assets, including market trends, valuation models, risk assessment, and regulatory developments.
- Monitor and evaluate cryptocurrency projects, tokens, and blockchain ecosystems to identify investment opportunities and potential risks.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentation materials, and investment recommendations for internal stakeholders and clients.
- Collaborate with investment managers to integrate digital asset insights into broader investment strategies.
- Support business development efforts, including building relationships with industry partners, attending conferences, and assisting with client proposals and marketing materials.
- Stay current with industry news, technological advancements, and macroeconomic factors affecting the digital assets space.
- Assist in developing tools and models for tracking and performance evaluation of digital assets.
Pre-requisites:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Computer Science, or related fields; MBA or CFA preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in the cryptocurrency industry (preferred) or 2-3 years of equity research experience with a focus on TMT/FinTech sectors.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and valuation.
- Familiarity with blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and decentralized finance (DeFi) concepts.
- Proficiency in Excel, Python, or SQL for data processing and analysis.
- Hands-on experience in business development activities, including client outreach, relationship maintenance, and strategic external engagement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience with cryptocurrency-specific tools (e.g., Glassnode, Dune Analytics, or Bloomberg terminal adapted for digital assets) is a plus.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks governing digital assets (e.g., SEC, CFTC guidelines) is a plus.
- Able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment and maintain a proactive attitude.
