Job Summary

The Site Engineer will be accountable for the end-to-end on-site execution of retail store projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, quality standards, project timelines, safety regulations, and budget constraints. This role requires close collaboration with General Contractors (GC), MEP teams, vendors, and internal departments to facilitate seamless project delivery.

Roles & Responsibilities

Project Execution & Coordination

  • Oversee daily site operations for new store fit-outs and renovations.
  • Liaise with General Contractors, subcontractors, and vendors for civil, MEP, fixtures, and finishing tasks.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and brand standards.

Quality & Compliance

  • Monitor workmanship to guarantee adherence to construction and safety standards.
  • Perform regular site inspections and address any deviations proactively.
  • Ensure conformity with local authorities, fire regulations, and mall guidelines where applicable.

Planning & Scheduling

  • Assist in project planning, sequencing tasks, and ensuring execution aligns with project deadlines.
  • Monitor daily progress and provide status updates to the project team.
  • Help resolve site-related issues to prevent any project delays.

Vendor & Material Management

  • Manage coordination of material delivery, storage, and utilization on site.
  • Check material quality and quantities against BOQs.
  • Support the measurement and verification process for contractor billing.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain comprehensive site records, including daily progress reports, snag lists, and completion reports.
  • Assist with the preparation of as-built drawings and handover documentation.

Handover & Close-Out

  • Ensure all snag items are resolved prior to store handover.
  • Facilitate a smooth store opening by coordinating final inspections and obtaining necessary approvals.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma, BE, or BTech in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3 to 6 years of experience in retail, commercial fit-out, or interior design projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of civil, MEP, and interior project execution.
  • Capability to manage multiple sites simultaneously and work efficiently under strict deadlines.
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities.
  • Willingness to travel according to project demands.
