About the role
- Key Responsibilities
- Guard assigned premises to prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
- Conduct regular patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas.
- Monitor CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and other security equipment.
- Control access by verifying visitors, employees, and contractors.
- Conduct security checks on vehicles, bags, and personal belongings where required.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, alarms, accidents, and security incidents.
- Prepare accurate incident, occurrence, and daily activity reports.
- Report security risks, suspicious activities, and safety hazards to the Security Supervisor.
- Assist during fire evacuations and other emergency situations.
- Enforce company security policies and procedures.
- Protect company assets and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Provide courteous assistance to guests, visitors, and employees.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
Requirements
- Qualifications
- Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE). A certificate or diploma in Security Management or a related field is an added advantage.
- Previous experience in private security, law enforcement, military service, or a related field is preferred.
- Valid security training certificate is an added advantage.
- First Aid and Fire Safety training is desirable.
