At Foodies, our Finance team is evolving. Within our newly combined Treasury & Member Funding team, we’re focused on enabling sustainable growth, strong financial performance, and smart capital decisions across the network.
Te Tūranga – About the role
We're looking for a commercially minded Senior Financial Analyst to join the Treasury & Member Funding team. This is a high-impact role where you’ll be at the heart of store ownership, funding, and performance decisions across the Co-op. Partnering with a wide range of stakeholders, you’ll bring together financial insight, commercial thinking, and data to influence outcomes that directly shape our store network.
You’ll spend most of your time supporting change of ownership and member funding activity, while also contributing to broader treasury priorities in an agile, fast-paced environment.
What you'll be doing
- Support store ownership and funding decisions through robust financial modelling, valuation, and commercial insight
- Partner with Retail, Property and governance forums to assess performance, risk, and investment opportunities
- Lead the preparation and review of funding applications, ensuring alignment with policy and risk frameworks
- Provide clear, actionable insight on store performance, identifying risks, opportunities, and compliance considerations
- Monitor member debt exposure and contribute to credit, risk management, and governance reporting
- Develop financial models, forecasts, and reporting tools that enable high-quality decision-making
- Contribute to treasury activity including cashflow forecasting, funding, and risk management
- Build strong relationships and act as a trusted advisor across Finance and the wider business

You’ll be a confident and commercially minded analyst who enjoys working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and influencing outcomes through data and insight.
You’ll likely bring:
- Strong experience in financial modelling, forecasting and performance analysis
- Proven ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
- High attention to detail and analytical rigour
- A commercial mindset and ability to operate in dynamic environments
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence at all levels
- Experience with BI tools (Power BI advantageous)
- A continuous improvement mindset with an interest in automation and innovation
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
